Sacramento author Claire Booth shares what it’s like to write both true crime and crime fiction. She spent more than a decade as a daily newspaper reporter, covering crimes so strange and convoluted they seemed more like fiction than reality. She has used that experience to chronicle true cases and to write a fictional mystery series. The latest in that series, A Deadly Turn, came out this spring.
