This month we are discussing Clark and Division by Naomi Hirahara.
Aki Ito and her parents have just been released from Manzanar and are being resettled two thousand miles away in Chicago, where Aki's sister, Rose, was sent months earlier and moved to the new Japanese American neighborhood. But on the eve of the Ito family's reunion, Rose is killed by a subway train. Officials rule it a suicide, but Aki cannot believe her perfect, polished, and optimistic sister would end her life. Her instinct tells her there is much more to the story, and she knows she is the only person who could ever learn the truth.

Bright
Young Women is an extraordinary novel inspired by the real-life sorority

spree. This is a good fit for those interested in a thought-provoking and
suspenseful story that explores the themes of feminism, sisterhood, and the
resilience of women in the face of tragedy and violence.
