Join TAB for a summer series + exhibition of What the Future Wants, a project co-developed with young people to explore questions at the core of your digital experience - what is it like to grow up in a digital world? How does it impact you? And in your digital future, what would you like to change and what would you like to protect?
Participants will discuss a particular technology topic during the first hour; during the second hour, help to install a related exhibit in the public areas of the library. In May, join us to talk about “persuasive design,” or what it means to be “addicted” to our technology.
The goal of each meeting is to create space for new ways of understanding and talking about emerging technology in everyday life. These programs are designed for youth grades 7-12; no registration required! Participation in this program counts towards library community service. Participants are welcome at any number of meetings in the series - no previous attendance or experience studying technology is required to join!
