Join us for a virtual 4-week mediation series, led by local yoga instructor, Kirsten Johnson. Explore tools to incorporate meditation into your daily life and learn the practical benefits of mindfulness and breath awareness, as well as various methods of meditation that can be done by anyone.
Week one: Beginners mindset. Three different tools for mindfulness:
A. Walking meditation
B. Five senses meditation
C. Counting breath meditation
Meditation to release stress, anxiety and overthinking. Guided visualization to build awareness, concentration and connecting with the present.
Meditation for self-love and body acceptance. Body scan with breath and sound to connect the whole self.
Meditation for a community connection. Loving kindness meditation for yourself and for others.

It is not required to attend all 4 sessions. You may come for all, some, or just one.
About the instructor: Kirsten Johnson has been practicing yoga since 2012. She has certifications in Curvy Yoga, Yoga for All, Trauma Informed Yoga, and Kid's Yoga. She resides in Sacramento and is currently president of Yoga Moves Us, a non-profit offering free yoga in the Sacramento area. She also teaches yoga for community groups and private clients. Her passion is to empower and heal communities through yoga.
