Adult 101: Life Skills for Teens & Young Adults is a six-week workshop series for ages 16-24 focusing on six areas of core life skills to support the transition from teen to adulthood. The goal of this program is to help participants become more prepared and successful in their academic and professional pursuits.

Join us for this week’s session on Conducting Yourself Online & Data Privacy presented in partnership with Hackerlab and Data Detox x Youth presented by Sacramento Public Library. Part 1 of this session will examine common digital communication methods, how to stand out, when to use each, how to be effective, and the common pitfalls of different platforms. The first impression you leave with someone may no longer be based on a face-to-face interaction. With the growing adoption of remote work there is a high probability that your initial communication with a new employer or colleague will happen online. This section of today’s session will help prepare you. Part 2 will cover digital privacy and understanding how online profiling works and how to avoid it. You will receive a digital certificate completion at the end of this session.

Registration is required for this event.
