Body Positive Yoga

Join us for a virtual 6-week body positive yoga series, led by local yoga instructor, Kirsten Johnson. Explore the connection of mind, body, and breath in a safe, body positive environment that is inclusive for all abilities and body types. This series will focus on the 5 Niyamas of yoga. Each week will incorporate Sun Salutations and warrior poses to warm up the body, and include other poses like dancer, crow, eagle, and half-moon with options for all levels. 

Week 1: Intro to Niyamas 
Week 2: Saucha: Purification and cleanliness 
Week 3: Santosha: Contentment 
Week 4: Tapas: Asceticism and self-discipline 
Week 5: Svadhyaya: Self-study and self-reflection
Week 6: Ishvara Pranidhana: Devotion and self-surrender

Following each yoga session, we will present a short book recommendation on titles related to the weekly theme.

Her passion is to empower and heal communities through yoga.

Genealogy: You Can Do This: Photo Organizing and Preservation

Are you sitting on a pile of old family photographs and wondering what is the best way to preserve them? What about boxes of family vacation slides, photo negatives or home movies? As more and more Baby Boomers take on the task of organizing family history materials, we’re uncertain about the best way to preserve these memories. And an over-abundance of technology doesn’t help! Participants will learn the best ways to organize and preserve family photos including outsourcing as well as the DIY approach. Starting with quick and easy inventory and organizing tips, we'll move on to creating a strategic plan to finally get this photo project done!
